Mike Hough One To Watch In 2014

Although not making it into our top 5 Big In 2014 blog, Mike Hough is one to watch in 2014. He has recently finished supporting JLS on their farewell tour and has just released his fantastic song 'Better'.

Not only is his fanbase growing bigger everyday, with the support of well known artists and a great team behind him, this guy is going to be the next big star from the UK.
Mike also proves he is a fighter as he is not backed by a major label and radio stations are not playing his music (which we think is crazy!!!).

Charlee (Austria)

With many years in the industry and having entered the charts in both Austria and Germany at a tender age of 17, Charlee has been working with djs and music producers and with a more grown up electropop/dance sound, the clubs are going to be full of Charlee's music in no time.

Nicole Scherzinger (USA)

2013 saw Nicole back on The X Factor judging pannel and many people in the media have said that the show is a success because of her. With her phrases such as 'You showed me that you have balls' and 'Schermazing', people were just waiting to hear what she was going to say next.
2013 also saw Nicole perform with british singer/songwriter Tom Odell for a charity event and there were rumours that Nicole may not only be signing a new record deal with Sony Music but could also be offered 3 million pounds to stay on The X Factor.

Nathaniel Willemse (Australia)

Nathaniel Willemse is best known from The X Factor Australia where he came 6th in the shows fourth series. After The X Factor he joined some of the other contestants to tour Australia. On the 6th May 2013 Nathaniel announced that he had signed to Sony Music Australia. His debut single 'You' peaked at number 4 in Australia and the song also got platinum status. The song also entered number 16 in New Zealand.
For most of 2013 Nathaniel has been touring Australia and working on new songs.

This group was one of the support acts on JLS last ever tour in 2013. Not only have they been working hard on new music, they also managed to find time to do a school tour, have photoshoots and even answer questions for our Question Time With....

What a year 2013 was for this group. With a European PR Tour, the release of their debut single 'Stay Young', a tour in Japan, their debut album 'We Are The United being released in Japan and their second single 'So Wicked' entering the Dance Charts in Japan at number 5!
The group released a video saying that they haven't forgotten about their European fans and in 2014 they will be focusing on the European markets. We can't wait to buy their album!

Third Degree (Australia)

Third Degree came 4th on The X Factor Australia 2013. Since then they have toured Australia with The X Factor Tour as well as releasing their first single 'Different Kind Of Love which entered the Australian chart at number 22.
With their Dance/Pop sound which should be played in all clubs around the world and being compared to the Black Eyed Peas, 2014 is going to be a great year for this band!

Union J (United Kingdom)

With 2 top ten singles (Carry You, Beautiful Life), a top ten album (Union J), featured in the film 'Kick-Ass 2' and a headlining UK tour (just to name a few things that the band have done), 2013 was a fantastic start for Union J.
Although a certain person (Louis Walsh) has said that he expected Union J to be bigger and to have already had a number, we feel that the lads has much more to give and with a fanbase that is ever growing, One Direction had better watch out!

Cover Drive (Barbados)

The group that has already toured with Rihanna and had a number one UK single in the past experienced what it was like as a group in 2013 to release music and organize everything independently and what a great job they did.
They released a promo video for their song 'All My Love', toured the UK on a headline tour, released a their comeback single 'Lovesick Riddim' and have released their EP 'Limin' In Limbo' which is just a taster of what is to come on their second album which is due for release in 2014.
With the bad weather at the moment, we need Cover Drive to bring us some feelgood songs and sunshine!

Kesha - Dirty Love

Kesha ended her 2013 on a high with the international successful single 'Timber' which she was featured on with Pitbull.Now 2014 is here and she is back with a new song 'Dirty Love' and for the first time ever, she didn't just feature in the video, she directed it!!!

With her crazy attitude, shots of her in her underwear and lots of glitter, we cannot see a reason for this song not to be a success!

The moment you have all been waiting for. So many readers contacted us and asked for a Question Time With Anttix and here it is!!!

1. How did your journey in the new music industry started?Well.. It all started back when I was 18, I used to write tracks and put them on myspace, an A&R guy from universal scouted me and invited me to London to perform at a showcase. 

2. You have been traveling around the UK performing at schools, clubs and festivals. Will you also be performing in other countries? Yes deffo. As well as the UK I've already performed across Europe: Norway, Denmark, France, Germany,Portugal and so many other places I can't even remember haha!  I've literally just got back from New York which was crazy and am heading back to the states in April. 

3. Your debut single ‘Tornado’ made the internet and social media go crazy. How did you feel when you first saw it available on iTunes?Ahhh do you know what I love Tornado it was wicked!  I love seeing my music come to life, I love seeing tracks being available to buy, I love love love it!

   Your new single ‘Be Alright’ has just been released. What is the message of the song?

Be alright is a track that was released to support the UK safer internet organisation, which is working with young people to promote awareness of cyber bullying. I feel so strongly about this and feel that as a nation it is something we need to support. Its madness that people are so unkind online and we all need to help promote a safer internet community.  

What music do you listen and who are your musical influences? I listen to loads of different stuff like so many different stuff its mental, the itunes chart influences me massively deffo. If it’s in the top 100 I download it. My best album of 2013 was without adought little mix their tracks are wicked!  

6. If you could work with anyone on a song, who would it be? Totes! Jessie J. We would work so well together I would love it

7. Has anything bad ever happened whilst you have been on stage? I’ve forgot lyrics a few times. But Im lucky as im a solo artist if I mess up I can just talk and interact with the crowd haha.. But if you’re in a band it’s a bit awks.
