Future Chart Battles

Oh how we love major chart battles and the UK charts have 2 bigs ones coming up on the 30th October and the 13th November!!!

30th October:

Australian pop princess Delta Goodrem is back with her song 'Wings'. The Voice AU coach has recently been in London promoting the single and it finally gets it's release in the UK on the 30th October!
The song has already gone platinum in Australia and it looks as though her UK success may just come back with this song!

Fleur East came second in The X Factor UK 2014 but she is now ready to show what she has to offer and she will be going up against Delta in the charts when she releases her debut single 'Sax'.
Fleur proved herself on The X Factor and many fans have waited so long to hear her new song which will be available on 30th October.

13th November:

Justin Bieber has made a fantastic start to his comeback. Entering the iTunes charts with his songs 'What Do You Mean' and 'Sorry' as well as his song 'Strong' featuring Selena Gomez leaking on the web, everyone is now ready for his new album 'Purpose'.

The only thing is, Justin has some competition from 2 X Factor UK acts.

One Direction recently announced their new album would be called 'Made In The A.M'. The album will feature their singles 'Drag Me Down' and 'Perfect'.
The group have announced that they will be taking a break in March 2016 and plan to work on solo projects.

The question is, will this album be as successful as their others and will it beat Justin to the top of the charts?

Ben Haenow won The X Factor UK 2014 and had a number 1 single with his winner's song 'Something I need'. His latest single 'Second Hand Heart' feat. Kelly Clarkson entered the UK chart at number 21 in its first week.
Although you would say Ben is the underdog in this chart battle against Justin Bieber and One Direction, we wouldn't put this guy down. Fans have been very excited to hear his new music and this could make it a very interesting three-way chart battle for the number one album!

The song has been making social media go crazy and now the group has released the official videos!

Below is the video and as the song says, cake will be eaten by the ocean.

Ben Haenow - Second Hand Heart

He won The X Factor UK last year and had a number 1 single with his winners single 'Something I Need' (cover of the One Republic single).
Ben Haenow is back and ready to enter our lives again as well as the charts with his new single 'Second Hand Heart'. This will be his first original single and with the help of American superstar Kelly Clarkson, it sure to enter high in charts all around the world.

Talking about international success, Ben has recently also signed a recording contract in the US and many reports state that this could be just the thing to help Ben avoid the X Factor male winners curse!

The single was released on Friday 16th October and is now available to buy.

This is just the beginning for Ben Haenow and with an album coming very soon, we hope he will find enough time to sleep!

Question Time With..... Cavali Jay

He has won an International Independent Music Award, recently signed to a new record label, performed at Pride 2015 events and has also released his debut single.

We interviewed Cavali Jay and here is what he had to say:

Q1. How did you first get into music?

It all started back in 1995 when I was a young teenager, I went to see Celine Dion in concert on her Colour of my Love world tour, didn’t have a clue who she was, mum had a spare ticket and took me along. Celine blew me away and I told my mum at the concert that that is what I want to do when I grow up. A few years later I wrote and recorded my first song in 1999 called‘Can’t Get Enough’, and then in 2000 I met Take That’s now manager Jonathan Wild who came on board to manage me until 2002

Q2. You released your debut single 'Shattered Glass' on the 4th September. What is the song about and what influenced you to write this song?

Shattered Glass wasn’t actually meant to be. For my debut single I wrote a song called ‘I’m Sorry That I Hurt You’, which was going to be the single until I arrived at the studio then myself and my producer Jorden Milnes decided to totally write a new song from scratch which then became ‘Shattered Glass’. The influence behind Shattered Glass wasn’t due to anything I had been through in life but more so what I’ve seen my close friends experience lately with their relationships.through in life but more so what I’ve seen my close friends experience lately with their relationships.

Q3. You recently performed at Edinburgh Pride and Stoke-On-Trent Pride. How were these performances and can we expect to see you at more Pride gigs in 2016?

My performance at Edinburgh Pride back in June was a very important gig for me because it was this performance which saw me give my debut performance of Shattered Glass, so it was a bit nerve racking as to how it would go down but the crowd absolutely loved it. As soon as it started people poured in from other areas to come and watch and dance along, it really was quite a special moment for me.

As soon as it started people poured in from other areas to come and watch and dance along, it really was quite aspecial moment for me. Stoke-on-Trent pride was a very last minute gig, I think I was told I was performing there just days before the event which meant I didn’t get a slot on the main stage but was on a smaller stage, this gig wasn’t so great as everyone was more concerned with the main stage as they had some big names performing on it which meant the smaller stage wasn’t a busy one for crowd goers, still it was an experience. Q4. We read on your Reverbnation profile (www.reverbnation.com/CavaliJayOfficial) that you have been writing songs for many years and you have also won an independent music award. Can you tell us more about these?

Yes I’ve been doing my music for many years but only really got in to properly in 2006 and even then it was more so for the passion I have for music rather than wanting to make it mainstream as an artist, my fans were happy with me recording and writing songs and going on tour which was perfect for me because as an artist I wasn’t ready to properly release my music back thenbecause I still hadn’t found a niche with my music like I have now. I won a global music award for ‘Best Song in Category – Electronica’ with my song Save My Soul, this was an internet based competition with thousands of artists and bands competing, the awards ceremony was held over in Los Angeles and one of the judges was Simon Cowell’s brother Tony Cowell. The many artists and bands from around the world that couldn’t make the show had to listen from home on the radio, I was not expecting to win the award so when I did I was speechless and it was winning that award that showed me that people out there do actually believe in my music more than I thought.competition with thousands of artists and bands competing, the awards ceremony was held over in Los Angeles and one of the judges was Simon Cowell’s brother Tony Cowell. Q5. It was announced that you are working with Austrian based record label SC Global Entertainment, does this mean that your music will be released in other countries too?

That is correct yes, my music will not only be released here in the UK but will also be released worldwide.

Q6. What are your plans for the rest of 2015 and what can we expect in 2016?

My plans for the rest of 2015 will be to do the Shattered Glass UK Promo Tour which will cross over in to 2016 but also I have just co-written and recorded my second single ‘illumintate’ with producer David Anthony who is a signed producer to Universal World Music. This second single is currently scheduled for a December 2015 release but I may put it back until 2016 to give

Shattered Glass a bit more of an airing as it has yet to hit the radio stations. Also I will be doing the Shattered Glass music video before 2015 is out.

Q7. If you could work with any singer/group on a song, who would it be and why?

Well this is easy; my absolute dream is to work with my girl Celine Dion, after all, she is the inspiration behind me becoming a singer in the first place. Also though I would love to collaborate with 3 other people too, Zedd, Avicii and Nicky Romero.

Q8. Where would you like to perform if you could choose?

Whilst most would choose somewhere like Wembley I have actually always wanted to head out to Dubai to perform at Sandance.

Q9. If people want to find out more about your music journey, where can they go?

Currently I don’t have an official website so to find out any information they can catch up with me on Facebook, Twitter and Reverbnation at the links below.Twitter: @Cavali_Jay
