Comeback of 2017

2017 has been another fantastic year for music. there have been a couple of comebacks made including Eminem and Sam Smith. As great as this was, we have to say that the one comeback which really stood out was from Nadine Coyle.
The Irish beauty had not released a solo track since her track 'Sweetest High' from 2011 and she started off her comeback by announcing she had signed a contract with Virgin EMI which got all of her fans very excited.

When her new single 'Go To Work' was released on the 8th September, social media went crazy, and the gigs started rolling in for Nadine.

She performed the track on Lorraine and Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two as well as live performances at G-A-Y London and as part of 'We Are Manchester' benefit concert.
The song has had over 1 million streams on Spotify and the amount of streams rise daily!

It was then on the 15th September where we finally got to see the music video which sees Nadine walking and posing around in an office.

To finish off the year, Nadine has performed at the Royal Albert Hall singing Christmas classic 'White Christmas' and she will also perform at a New Year's concert.

2018 will hopefully see more singles and a new album released and hopefully also a tour!

We are so happy to have Nadine Coyle and her amazing voice back in our lives!

UK Christmas Chart

As Friday the 22nd December was the last chart announcement in the UK before Christmas, we now know who were number 1 in the singles and albums chart.

What a year it has been for Ed Sheeran with some very successful releases this year and to finish off the year he took the Christmas single chart by storm with his song 'Perfect'.
Ed didn't only release the track on his own but also released two other versions with Beyonce and Andrea Bocelli.

The song is taken from his worldwide successful album 'Divide'.

Whilst Ed Sheeran snatched the Christmas single number 1, it was the comeback of the year which took number 1 album.

It has been a while since Eminem released any music but fans are happy that 2017 was the year for his comeback. His album 'Revival' took the number 1 in the Christmas album chart and it's not surprise as he has collaborated with the likes of Ed Sheeran, Beyonce, Alicia Keys and Skyler Grey (just to name a few).

5 After Midnight - Flowers

If it is fun upbeat songs you want then all you need to do is listen to 5 After Midnight's songs 'Touch', 'Taste' and 'City of Lights' from their EP 'Sauce'.
If however, you would like to hear something different then don't worry as the guys have just released the next single from the EP and it is a cover of Sweet Female Attitude's 'Flowers'. Although the original was an upbeat, 5 After Midnight has decided to really showcase their fragile/soulful vocals by slowing the track down and having it more as a ballad.

Although we were worried when we started to listen to the track (being fans of the original), we can tell you that the lads have done an amazing job and we love it just as much!

Another exciting thing about 'Flowers' being released is the fact that there is a music video as this is an official single!

Be sure to download and stream 'Flowers' and the rest of the tracks from 'Sauce' and really end the year with a bang for 5 After Midnight!

Sam Callahan - Burns Like Fire

Whether you know him as the guy from The X Factor or the guy who likes to have photos taken whilst not wearing much, Sam Callahan has finally released a new single and in our opinion, it is his best song to date and really proves that he is a true artist.

The song is called 'Burns Like Fire' and it is a guitar/pop driven track with the feel good vibe that you would expect an Ed Sheeran track.

Here is the official video: https://youtu.be/fAY2oViTQNg

'Burns Like Fire' is available to download and stream now and Sam Callahan is a name that we are sure the whole world will know very well in 2018!

The Netherlands have a new star with Teuz and he was recently on TV auditioning on The Voice of Holland where he performed Shawn Mendes's song 'Stitches'. Although the coaches didn't turn for him, the media went crazy and radio stations and media were all talking about him.

To keep all the excitement going, Teuz has now released his debut solo single 'Press Start' and this is a fantastic Pop/Dance track that will get you dancing as well as being played by DJs at all club events.

We think this is just the beginning for Teuz and 2018 is going to be a great year for the young singer.

Jessie J

When you think about vocal techniques, the first person to come into mind is the incredible Jessie J. She is currently on tour and just finished her European leg before jetting over the pond to perform in the US and Candada.

Fans can expect to hear some of her new songs as well as fan favourites. This year Jessie has released non album track 'Real Deal' which was a surprise change to what fans are used to.

Following on from 'Real Deal', the first official track released from Jessie's upcoming 4th studio album was 'Think About That'.

In Real Life vs PRETTYMUCH

After the success of One Direction, the US is now ready to re-claim the best boy band title. In the past, the US has hit the ball out the park when it comes to boy band world domination with names such as New Kids On The Block, Backstreet Boys and NSYNC. However when One Direction came along, there were basically no other boy bands worth talking about until the guys decided to focus on their solo projects.

Now there are two bands from the US who are ready to take the boy band thrown.

In Real Life
The US network ABC decided to bring three well known music industry professionals together to search for five members to form a new boy band. Music producer Timbaland, Emma Bunton (Baby Spice) and Nick Carter (Backstreet Boys) were chosen for this task and over ten weeks gave support and feedback to all the boys until the final five were chosen (Brady Tutton 15, Chance Perez 19, Drew Ramos 19, Sergio Calderon 17 and Michael Conor 18).

The group are called In Real Life and their first single 'Eyes Closed' has nearly 2 million streams on Spotify. They are currently performing around the US and growing their fan base but we feel the guys have what it takes to go international.

They have already mentioned a new single and video coming soon as well as plans for a Christmas song.

PRETTYMUCH

PRETTYMUCH are Brandon Arreaga 17, Edwin Honoret 18, Zion Kuwonu 18, Nick Mara 19 and Austin Porter 20. The guys were all solo singers until Simon Cowell put them together in a group and signed them to his label Syco Music. With the same manager and label as One Direction, many people weren't sure whether they would be able to handle the pressure but as soon as they released their first single 'Would You Mind', it was clear that these guys mean business.

The single has already had nearly 8 million streams on Spotify.

Their new single 'Teacher' has nearly 2 million streams on Spotify.

The only question now is which group will be the first to have international success and will they experience the same success as One Direction?

Jessie J - Think About That

It's been too long since we have had any news about a new album from Jessie J. She released a song called 'Real Deal' on the 11th August 2017 which was later announced that it wasn't going to be featured on the next album.

On the 15th September 2017 Jessie J released her new single 'Think About That', the lead single from her upcoming album 'R.O.S.E' and it has been described as a powerful, emotional track which showcases the stunning technical vocals that Jessie J is renowned for.

It's not just the new single that Jessie's fans can enjoy, she has just announced her October tour where she has shows in the UK, Mainland Europe, the US and Canada.
It is believed that new tracks from the album will be performed as well as fan favourites.

All we can say is it's nice to have you back Jessie J!

Megan Mckenna

Megan McKenna is best known as a cast member in The Only Way Is Essex but now she is ready to show off her other talent, singing!
McKenna has recently stared in her own TV (There's Something About Megan) on ITVBe which follows Megan as she travels to the US and performs her music.

She now has a debut solo single 'High Heeled Shoes' which is currently sitting at number 1 on the iTunes UK chart and her other song 'Far Cry From Love' is at number 2 (knocking Taylor Swift off the top spot).
McKenna is going down the country route and so far it seems to be working. She has been speaking with The X Factor judge Louis Walsh about her music and is also getting advice which may just see McKenna taking the country music worldwide charts by storm.

Both songs are available now on iTunes and Spotify and the question is, where will Megan McKenna chart on tomorrow's UK Top 40?

Mollie King - Hair Down

Mollie King is best known as a member of The Saturdays and recently has been in the press and all over the internet. The reason for this is due to her new single 'Hair Down'. After her debut single 'Back To You', King is back with her second single which is more of a pop/dance track and is going to be perfect to get you on the dance floor.

Talking about dance floors, anyone who watches BBC's Strictly Come Dancing will see Molly strutting her stuff following in the footsteps of her Saturdays band mate Frankie Bridge.

Mike Watson vs Ryan Lawrie

He toured Europe as a member of The United but now he is standing on his own two feet as a singer/songwriter and he has just released his fantastic single 'Lying For Love'. The song showcases Watson's stunning vocals and with a song like this, we tip him to have a very successful international career.

He will be performing at Camper Calling in Warwickshire this Sunday.

Ryan Lawrie was a contestant on The X Factor 2016 and since the show ended, Lawrie has headlined his own tour and released a single.
Now he is back with his second single 'Perfect Picture'.

Like Mike Watson, Ryan Lawrie is a songwriter and this week it is songwriter vs songwriter. Who will chart higher?

Nadine Is Back

Nadine Coyle is best known as 1/5 of Girls Aloud. She had a brief solo career when she released her album 'Insatiable' and single of the first name.

She then featured on Shane Filan's album track 'I Could Be The One'.
