2018 Top 20 Songs (20 - 16)

What a year 2018 was for the music fans with some great tracks released. Here is our first post from our 2018 Top 20 songs places 20 to 16:

20. Ronan Parke - No Love (Like First Love)

Ronan Parke started his music career as a young 12 year old finishing runner-up on Britain's Got Talent. Now at the age of 20, Ronan has released a new album 'Found My Way' with a more mature sound including the song 'No Love (Like First Love). The song is a mid-tempo dance/pop track and it has entered charts in Brazil.

The song is a perfect way for Ronan to remind everyone why we love his stunning vocals and to showcase what's to come in 2019.

19. Dinah Jane feat. Ty Dolla Sign - Bottled Up

Dinah Jane is best know as being 1/5 of Fifth Harmony. 2018 has been an exciting year as all members of the band released solo music but when Dinah announced she was ready to release her first solo track, excitement grew.
The track is very different to the other member's tracks and it is a more RnB/pop track which will get you on the dance floor.

More music and an album is expected for 2019.

18. Sheldon Riley - Fire

Sheldon Riley is best known for being on The Voice Australia as part of Team Boy George where he finished in 3rd place. His blind audition song was a cover of Culture Club's 'Do You Really Want To Hurt Me' which stole the hearts of everyone in Australia and online.
After The Voice finished, Sheldon released his debut single 'Fire' which was co-written by Australian singer Alfie Arcuri.

Sheldon has a very unique sound and it will be interesting to see how his music journey in 2019 will continue.

17. Jesse McCartney - Wasted

Jesse McCartney has been in the industry since he was a child. Not only is he a fantastic singer but also an amazing songwriter.
In 2018 he released his track 'Wasted' which shows why he is still relevant in the music industry today and why he has entered our Top 20.

As well as music, Jesse is also an actor so 2019 will more than likely be another very busy year and we have our fingers crossed for another full length album!

16. Aston Merrygold - Bon Appetit

It's been very busy for Aston Merrygold lately. Since he left Strictly Come Dancing last year, he has had a baby but what we were happy about was the new music. 'Bon Appetit' is a perfect RnB track and it really showcases the stunning vocals which the fans love.

Aston finished 2018 by winning the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special and released a new song called 'Poison Ivy'.
We can't wait for new music from Aston in 2019!

It's not only great music which makes a song but also a music video can help make or break a song.

1. Phantoms feat. Vanessa Hudgens - Lay With Me

When it was announced that Phantoms had asked Vanessa Hudgens to sing on their track, fans went crazy. The track is called 'Lay With Me' and the reason we love this video is the way it starts with Vanessa on a stage in what looks like a school production (very High School Musical) until the huge drop in the song and suddenly she is on a huge stage performing at her concert.

We are also excited for future music projects from Phantoms and Vanessa.


2. Little Mix feat. Nicki Minaj - Woman Like Me

Little Mix are preparing to release their 5th studio album and have decided to release 'Woman Like Me' which features American rapper Nicki Minaj.
In the video, the ladies showcase their strong individual talents as well as the power they have as a unit.


The ladies are also going on tour next year so we will be seeing a lot of them next year.


3. HRVY - I Wish You Were Here

If you asked us whether you though HRVY would still be around, we wouldn't be able to answer that 100% but he has proven to everyone that he deserves all the success. He has millions of streams on Spotify and he recently performed at the Radio 1 Teen Awards.

His video for the single 'I Wish You Were Here' sees HRVY in a prison all with a cut to the face.

We hope 2019 will see HRVY release a full album of amazing songs!


4. Cher LLoyd - None Of My Business

We have been waiting a while for Cher LLoyd to make her comeback after having a baby and how the wait has paid off.

The comeback single is called 'None Of My Business' and although the video is very simple, it is perfect for the song!

Could 2019 be the year for fans to finally get a 3rd album from Cher LLoyd?


5. Rak-Su - I Want You To Freak

When the lads from Rak-Su performed on the first live show of The X Factor UK, it was easy to remember why they won the show in 2017 with their amazing original tracks.

The track they performed is called 'I Want You To Freak' and it features the lads enjoying themselves and showing off their amazing dance routines!

It has been announced that Rak-Su will be supporting Olly Murs on his tour next year and so many great projects are on their way!!


6. Larsito feat. Mandy Capristo - Si Es Amor

Larsito is best know for being a member of German music group Culcha Candela and Mandy Capristo from the German girlband Monrose.

The two have come together to perform their German/Spanish/English track 'Si Es Amor' and it's the perfect song to get people dancing worldwide.

The video was filmed in the UK and it is going to impress anyone who watches it!

Wet Wet Wet new member

Wet Wet Wet will be going on tour this year and they now have a new member. Kevin Simm (Liberty X, The Voice UK) will join the group and sing all their classics such as 'Love is All Around'.

Kevin has released two solo albums which included a more Motown/Soul sound.


Be sure to check out Kevin's solo material and don't forget to support him when he performs with Wet Wet Wet later this year!

Michelle Williams TV Show

Michelle Williams is best known as being 1/3 of international super group Destiny's Child. She has had music success in the group and as a solo artist, released her own range of bedding as well as featured on many TV shows but the biggest news has just been released.

After announcing she is getting engaged to to Chad Johnson, it has now been announced that they will have a TV show of their own documenting their lives and the highs and lows of not always being together due to work commitments and struggles with mental health.
The show is called 'Chad Loves Michelle' and will premiere on Sunday 3rd November.

This is the news that fans have waited for and it is great to see the spotlight finally on Michelle.

Claire Richards - My Wildest Dreams

Claire Richards is best known as being a member of Steps and now she is stepping and currently releasing her solo material.
Claire has recently released her second single 'Deep Waters' which is from her upcoming album 'My Wildest Dreams' which is due to be released on the 2nd November.

Fans have been very excited to hear the solo music from Claire which she announced by releasing her debut single 'On My Own'.

To make fans even more excited, Claire is going on her first ever solo tour this December.

LSD - Thunderclouds

When Labrinth, Sia and Diplo first announced they were coming together for a new project, fans went crazy.
LSD have recently released their third single 'Thunderclouds' and it has sky-rocketed up the iTunes UK charts.

Although the first two LSD single ('Genius' and 'Audio') were not as successful as people first thought they would be, 'Thunderclouds' could be the single needed to really show the success of the project.

Nathan Trent - Secretos

Austrian singer Nathan Trent released a song called 'Secrets' a couple of months ago and today the Spanish version has finally arrived.

'Secretos' is the name of the track and with how successful Spanish music has been over the past year worldwide, it will be no surprise if this track also sees great success. With the help of music producer J-Mox, the track is perfect to try to keep hold of the summer for as long as possible.
