It's been a while but Solange Knowles has finally released her new album 'A Seat at the Table' and it is already making a huge impact on iTunes charts worldwide. The singer who has been in the shadow of her sister (Beyonce) has stepped up her game and is now ready to show the world that there is a new Ms Knowles in town and she means business.
The first song from the album to be made available was the song 'Cranes in the Sky' and Solange says she had written the song 8 years ago and felt it was the right time to release it.
Other stand out tracks from the album include 'Don't Touch my Hair feat. Sampha', 'Mad feat. Lil Wayne' and 'Where Do We Go' as well as 'Interlude: I Got So Much Magic, You Can Have It feat. Kelly Rowland'.
Fingers crossed Solange will do a worldwide tour so everybody can hear her amazing songs live!
With the amount of new fantastic songs being released week after week, it is very hard to keep up with what to buy next. If you can't decided what song to buy next, here are a few of our favourites this week.
1. Niall Horan - This Town
When One Direction announced they were taking a break, one of the first questions on everyone's lips was which member will release a solo single first? Well the answer to that is Niall Horan. The Irish hottie (as most of his fans call him), released his debut solo single 'This Town' without any warning. To everyone's surprise, this acoustic/guitar driven track grabs you emotionally from start to finish.
With the track shooting up iTunes charts worldwide, this is a great start to what will be a very successful future!
2. DNCE - Body Moves
If someone says 'Cake By The Ocean' or 'Toothbrush', you know they are talking about DNCE's fantastic songs. The group recently announced that they will be releasing their album 'DNCE' November and to make this news even more exciting, the group have just released their new track 'Body Moves' which is another hit for a group that is taking over the world one radio after another!
3. GRL - Kiss Myself
G.R.L. have experienced many ups and downs in their career and although they took a break, changed the line-up, the ladies are ready to fight for their rightful place in the music industry. They recently made their comeback in Australia at Slimefest.
To make sure all their loyal fans worldwide can be involved, they released their new track 'Kiss Myself'. The uptempo dance track will be a sure hit in the clubs and get people off their seats and shaking their booty!
4. Jake Quickenden feat. Bailey McConnell - Get Away With Me
Jake Quickenden is best know for his silky smooth vocals (and hot body) and now he is back this time with the help of Bailey McConnell (Britain's Got Talent) with his new song 'Get Away With Me'. Anyone who is a fan of Jake will be excited for this song as it is different to other tracks he has released in the past, but his trademark vocals are still very present!
Union J fans have been waiting patiently for the new Union J album but there is new updates from the lads. It was recently announced that the UK Tour had been pushed back to February (which made a few fans worried) but they have now announced that they have a few dates in mainland Europe.
The band will be gigging in The Netherlands, France and Switzerland which will help gain more fans in new music markets to hopefully boost sales and maybe a worldwide tour (fingers crossed).
Now the question is, when will a new single be released?
Till then, we will keep playing their first two albums!
Kevin Simm, the winner of The Voice UK, released his track 'Wildfire' on 16th September and now there is a video for the song.
The song touches on a partner sleeping with someone else and the rumours are spreading like wildfire.
The song is the first single from his new album 'Recover' which will be released on the 28th October.
German rock and roll band The Baseballs are best know for taking well know songs and adding a classic rock and roll twist to them. Their new album 'Hit Me Baby...' is the new album and as you may be able to guess, the covered Britney's song of the same name. Other songs they used on this album include Sugababes 'Overload', The Spice Girls 'Wannabe' and All Saint's 'Never Ever' just to name a few.
The album has already entered the German chart at number 9 but we feel this could be the album to break many new music markets.
2. Jahméne - Unfathomable Phantasmagoria
We have been very excited about this album and feel that Jahméne is very underrated considering his strong vocals! His new album 'Unfathomable Phantasmagoria' is a very pleasant surprise as many people expected an album just full of slow ballads, we can tell you there is more to expect.
Stand out tracks include 'Love', 'Catch The Rhythm', 'Get It Right' as well as the fantastic single 'Down For Love', 'Is This The Time?' and 'I Wish'.
3. Shawn Mendes - Illuminate
He is one of the biggest worldwide success stories right now and as well as topping the charts worldwide, his new album 'Illuminate' is just another amazing album which showcases not only Shawn's amazing vocals but also his songwriting skills.
The song 'Treat You Better' is still one of the most popular song on radio and we can see him taking Justin Bieber's pop crown away for him in the next couple of years!
As everyone has probably heard by now, The Voice UK will move from the BBC to ITV in 2017 as well as The Voice Kids UK which will also start next year.
Two artists who have experienced The Voice are currently making their voices heard with both artists having new singles now available.
Leah McFall - Wolf Den
Leah McFall was coached by Will.i.Am and came runner up on the second series but has been away for 2 years. She is now ready to take her rightful place on the charts with her second single 'Wolf Den' she has release independently. Ever since the announcement of the single's release, social media has gone into melt down and she is flying up the iTunes UK chart.
For those who don't know about Leah's unique voice, should also check out her debut single 'Home' which featured Will.i.Am as well as her audition on The Voice where she covered Gloria Gaynor's 'I Will Survive.
Kevin Simm - Wildfire
Kevin Simm is the winner of last years The Voice UK and many fans have been very excited to hear his new music as well as to hear news about the long awaited album. This week Kevin released his new single 'Wildfire' which has a more guitar/acoustic/country feel about it.
The single is taken from his upcoming album 'Recover' which is due to be released on the 28th October.
This music comes after his first song, post The Voice, called 'All You Good Friends' entered the UK chart at number 24.
and who can forget his cover of Sia's 'Chandelier' for his blind audition.
If you have been watching Celebrity Big Brother in the UK right now then you would have seen Aubrey O'Day. The American singer/actress/fashion designer is best known as being 1/5 of Danity Kane but did you know she has also released solo music?
O'Day released her first solo single 'Automatic' back in 2011. The song is an upbeat pop/dance track.
A year later, the release of her second track 'Wrecking Ball' was released.
In 2013 Aubrey released her first EP which included 9 tracks. The EP is called 'Between Two Evils'.
Aubrey's music is available on iTunes, Amazon and many streaming platforms including Spotify. As she is doing a good job in the Big Brother house, we are running a campaign to see if we can get Aubrey into the UK charts.
All this week, we want everyone to download and stream any track from Aubrey.
