One of the biggest winners of 2014 has to be Conchita Wurst. After winning the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 for Austria with her song 'Rise Like A Phoenix. Since winning, she has travelled around the world and has charted in many countries including the UK chart at number 17.
Conchita is now back with her new song 'Heroes' and it is another great song which continues her music journey.
In 2015 Conchita will be back on the Eurovision Song Contest but this time as a presenter in the green room.
Anttix is the cheeky chappy who makes social media go crazy whether he uploads a new photo or even a cover video.
Many people may know Cheryl (judge on The X Factor UK) who went to number 1 with her song 'Crazy, Stupid, Love'. When we heard that Anttix was covering it, we were worried but we have to say that his version is better than the original!
We feel that 2015 is going to be a big year for Anttix and we are looking forward to featuring him more on our blog!
As we are in the last week before Christmas, the question is which Christmas songs will you be downloading/buying/playing this year?
Here are a mixture of songs to get you into the Christmas spirit:
1. Fifth Harmony - All I Want For Christmas
Fifth Harmony have had a fantastic 2014 releasing music, touring and of course promoting their music in the UK on The X Factor.
To finish off the year, the ladies have released a cover of Mariah Carey's hit 'All I Want For Christmas' and although everyone panics when such an iconic song is covered, Fifth Harmony have done an amazing job with the vocals and the video is just a bonus!
2. Union J - Its Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas
As a bonus track for their album 'You Got It All', fans were very happy when it was announced that Union J were also getting into the Christmas spirit by covering the classic Christmas son 'It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas'.
The lads performed the song at Capital's 'Jingle Bell Ball' as well as the TV show 'Blue Peter' which gained a lot of praise on social media.
3. Little Mix - Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)
It's been pretty quiet this year from the Little Mix ladies but that is because they are in the studio recording tracks for their third album (believed to be coming out in 2015).
As a treat for their supportive fans, Little mix released a video of them covering 'Christmas (Baby Please Come Home).
4. Ariana Grande - Santa Tell Me
What a year it has been for Miss Grande. She has travelled from one corner of Earth to the other promoting and releasing new music.
The last song to be released by Ariana is a Christmas song called 'Santa Tell Me' and it has already started entering charts around the world. Could this be a Christmas number one for the superstar?
5. The Saturdays - Christmas Wrapping
To finish off our Christmas song list for 2014, we have chosen to mention The Saturday's cover of 'Christmas Wrapping' which is featured on the soundtrack to the new Christmas film 'Get Santa'. The song is also featured on the 'Pop Party Christmas'.
It has been a busy year for The Saturdays, not only musically, but also in other projects with Vanessa signing a contract with a modelling agency, Mollie having photos taken for fashion ranges, Una preparing for her judging role on 'The Voice of Ireland', Rochelle presenting This Morning with her husband Marvin as well as 'Children In Need 2014' and finally Frankie who has been hitting the dance floor for Strictly Come Dancing.
6. Fuller - Christmas Time
Fuller are a duo made up of Mike from England and Gabriel from Sweden (both originally from the boy band The United).
The lads have been working hard writing new music as well as performing a few live gigs and what better way to end 2014 than to write an original Christmas Song. The song is called 'Christmas Time'.
Don't you just love it when The X Factor family members get together to work on a song. Olly Murs (came second to Joe McElderry) and Demi Lovato (judge on The X Factor US) are entering charts again with their song 'Up'.
What's even better is the fact that they performed the song live on The X Factor UK final.
'Up' is available on iTunes and other download stores now!
It's been a while since we have talked about any German artists so when we came across these two songs, we just knew we had to tell you all about them!
1. Bahar - Gossip Bitch
Ex Monrose singer Bahar is back with a her latest song 'Gossip Bitch'. The song is a mix of R&B/pop and is from her upcoming debut solo album 'Bullets of Love' which is due to be released in January 2015.
Bahar has been very busy lately not only in regards to music but also going back to school to complete her school leaving certificate (which she never completed due to joining German girl band Monrose).
2. Daniel Schuhmacher - Electric Heart
For anyone who doesn't know Daniel Schuhmacher, we hope you check him out after reading this. Daniel has just released his new song 'Electric Heart' and if you are a fan of Dance/Synth music, you are going to love this new track!
We wrote about Daniel a few months ago and he is also going to be re-releasing his album 'Diversity' as a special edition box.
It's been a fantastic couple of exciting weeks for Union J. They performed their single 'You Got It All' on The X Factor UK and did a tour around the UK to sign the singles. Finally after waiting all week to see where their single would enter the chart, they found out they had got their highest charting single to date with the single entering the chart at number 2 just behind Ed Sheeran.
Now the guys are promoting their new album. They are touring around the UK signing albums and they will be making an appearance on The Xtra Factor and also an appearance on Sweat The Small Stuff.
With their album currently number 19 on the Midweek Chart, can the guys get a second top ten album?
What happens when a German DJ and an Austria Dance/Pop singer get together in the studio? Well we will tell you, an amazing dance track which you will need to listen to before a night out or at the disco is born!
It's been a while since we have heard from Austrian singer Charlee (Birth name: Vera Luttenberger) but when we heard the news that a new track is being released and produced by German DJ Marco Van Bassken, we nearly exploded with excitement!
A video has already been released for the song and it is now available on ITunes everywhere!
For anyone in the UK, it is available for 59p!
Be sure to support this fantastic song and be ready to bust some moves!
