If you are excited for this tour, we want to hear from you!
Does anyone remember the winner of The Voice UK series 1? Well we can't remember her name but one name that sticks out from that series is Tyler James. The guy with an amazing voice that just makes you want to swoon, was part of team Will.I.Am and managed to finish runner-up.
Having released a few songs and two albums, he is back with his new single 'Worry About You' feat. Kano.
We are looking forward to seeing what will be next from Tyler!
Cher Lloyd started her career by The X Factor UK series 7. Named as mini Cheryl (Cheryl Cole), she brought swag and attitude to the show.
Although she didn't win the show, her first single 'Swagger Jagger' entered the UK chart at number 1 and since then she hasn't looked back.
She signed with Epic Records in the US which has helped her to break the market and has also given her the chance to record with such artists as Sean Kingston and Becky G.
Along with a tour of Australia as support act for Hot Chelle Rae, world domination doesn't seem to far away for the lady from Malvern. Having an ever growing fanbase (fans known as Brats) and having Simon Cowell and LA Reid as support, this girl can do no wrong!
With a second album in pipeline, Cher Lloyd is a name that the world will soon know!
When they started, they were know as the 'Flop Stars' but this was soon to change!
Can anybody remember Popstars UK where they put together the band Hear'say (didn't last very long!). Well Michelle, Tony, Kevin, Jessica and Kelli all went for the auditions but never got into the band. In an interview just after this, announced they were going to work together and record music as a band.
There biggest hit to date was the international successful song 'Just A Little'. After 12 singles and 3 albums, Liberty X finally decided to call it a day in 2008 and just decided to step out of the public eye.
However, in 2012 it was announced that the group would star in a tv series called 'The Big Reunion' on ITV2 where they will talk about both their lives in the band and after the band. As well as that, the band have to start preparing for (what was going to be just) a one off concert but due to high demand of tickets, now a 12 date UK tour.
No plans are being made for the future of the band after this tour but fans are hoping for a full comeback with new music!
All we can say to Liberty X is: GIVE US JUST A LITTLE BIT MORE!
Music for the clubs, beautiful brunette and from Essex. That's (w)right, Jessica Wright is back with her new song 'Dominoes feat. Mann'.
After her amzing dance track 'Dance All Night' stormed the UK chart at number 36, Jessica is back with a new song to show we haven't seen the end of her.
Her new video shows Jessica dancing with semi naked men and singing lyrics such as 'All the boys, in the club, are dropping like dominoes. Any man who sees Jessica looking how she looks in her new video will drop like a domino every time we are not suprised.
As well as the music, Jessica also runs her own shop (With Love Jessica) and she stars in the tv hit 'The Only Way Is Essex'.
All we can say is we are ready to get on that dancefloor and boogie!
It's been a while since we heard anything from the guy who brought 'Sexyback'. Now he is back showing everyone how to rock a 'Suit and Tie', welcome back Mr Justin Timberlake!
As soon as the song 'Suit and Tie' was made available to download, the world went crazy ands hundreds of thousands of downloads were sold in the first two days of it's release. With a feature from Jay-Z, it is the must have track of 2013 but will he be able to make his mark in the music industry once again or is this a short lived success? With his new album 'The 20/20 Experience' coming out later this year, artists such as Justin Bieber and Usher must be nervous!
Justin will be performing at The Brit Awards 2013 in London and we can't wait to see what else he is going to do this year!
It has been a while since we have heard a new song from Cover Drive but we are excited to let everyone know that a new lyric video for their new song 'All My Love'.
It will be very interesting to see how well the song will do in the charts as everyone is talking about it.
All we can say is 'Turn Up The Love'.
If there is a band or singer you like, we want to know about them whether they are signed or unsigned.
Who would you like to see featured on Love4MusicOfficial can be decided by you.
All you have to do is send a Tweet with #BlogFeature and the name of the singer/group to @Love4MusicOffic
After having them featured in our Big In 2013 post, Parade have now decided to call it a day. It was reported that Bianca wanted to leave the band and the other girls said that Parade was about the five of them and when one leaves, they would not go on.
We want to wish the girls all the best for their futures!
Isn't it funny how every now and again there is a song sung in a foreign language that takes over the music charts worldwide. With a dance routine that everyone can dance along to, these songs take over people's lives.
Although most people don't understand the lyrics, thousands of copies are sold!
The final question left to ask is, which country will have the next big foreign song?
Las Ketchup: Las Ketchup are a group of sisters from Spain. Their song Aserejé took over international charts all around the world.
Michel Telò: Michel Telò released his song 'Ai Se Eu Te Pego' in 2011
Since watching The Big Reunion on ITV2, we have been thinking about which other bands should reform. Here are just a few we would like to see.
Industry: Industry was a 4 piece band who had 2 number 1 singles ('My Baby's Waiting' and 'Burn) in Ireland. The band also supported the Pussycat Dolls at one of their concerts in Ireland as well as touring Ireland on a PR Tour.
It would be great to see these four back together!
Mis-Teeq - The three ladies proved they were in charge when it came to getting their point across. With a mixture of RnB/Pop/Dance/Rap songs, the world just wanted more. such songs as 'All I Want', Scandalous' and 'Can't Get It Back' are just a few songs that people danced to back in the day. Let's hope they decide to make a comeback soon!
One True Voice: The boyband who went head to head against Girls Aloud for Christmas number 1 (and lost out of course) never really got given a chance.
Even though their first 2 singles went straight into the top ten UK chart with 'Sacred Trust / After You're Gone' entering at number 2 (certified Gold) and 'Shakespeare's (Way With) Words' entering at number 10.
It would have been nice if their label had given them a chance and released an album of songs.
If I asked you to name famous austrian singers and musicians, how many could you name?
Mozart (composer) or Falco (singer) with his most famous song Rock Me Amadeus (number 1 in UK, USA and many other countries).
If I asked you to name an Austrian singer/band that are famous now, I'm sure you wouldn't know any but for those who are interested, here are a few:
Nadine Beiler (Represented Austria at the Eurovision Song Contest 2011), Luttenberger*Klug, Christina Stürmer, Parkbench Drive and Marco Angelini.
Will there ever be another successful austrian artist? well I think so! meet Kevin Sundl.
Kevin is a young austrian singer who has been writing his own songs and performing around Austria from a very young age. With experience performing in shopping centres, festivals and anywhere else he can find a microphone and stage, he is now ready to go international.
On the 26th October 2012 Kevin released his international debut single 'On The Bridge' on Itunes. He will be releasing a new single in the next few months and will be growing his fanbase even more by performing more gigs.
2013 could be the year where Austria is put back on the map and Kevin Sundl is the guy to do it!
5 members, 5 different countries, Europe in their hearts. You've guessed it, I am talking about the next big boyband 'The United'. Having been picked for the band with their management searching videos on Youtube, Mike (UK), Gabriel (Sweden), Manuel (Germany), Step (Italy) and Teus (Holland) are now ready to start traveling through Europe on a PR Tour and will be releasing their debut single later this year!
With their fantastic harmonies and instrumental skills, this band is one to watch. Gabriel, Manuel and Teus all have experience of casting shows with Gabriel and Manuel taking part in Pop Idol in their countries and Teus in Popstars Holland.
All five members have a hugh fanbase as they have all posted solo videos on Youtube and with a flip video being released every Sunday by the band, world domination is not too far away.
Interest from international media has already blown up with teen magazines such as Bravo (Germany), Teen Now (UK), DiPiù (Italy) and Hitkrant (Holland) all having features of the band in their magazines.
The future is bright for The United and One Direction had better be ready for a chart battle because these guys mean business!
With a view of not taking life too seriously and writing lyrics that can be considered as controversial Richi Rich is making a name for himself in hiphop and has even been compared to Eminem. Born in England, he now lives and performs in Vienna, Austria where he writes and records his own music. Not just a talent when it comes to writing songs but a genius with a camera too. Richi Rich films and edits his own music videos and they can be found on Youtube.
With over 3 years of writing and performing, could 2013 be the year of Richi Rich? His song Blast Off has already charted at number 10 on the Dozoo Music Video Charts in the UK.
So we are now in the second month of 2013 and now it's time to reflect on upcoming artists who I expect will make an impact this year:
1. Vincent Tomas: Vincent is best know as 1/5 of the boyband US5. After the band split up, he had a short stint on The X Factor US. Vincent has started recording solo material and releasing it on Itunes worldwide. His song 'Livin' Life' showcases Vincent's more soulful voice and the emotion that he brings across in this song is going to bring the audience to tears!
His latest release on Itunes is called 'You Know You Like Me' and it features Brynn Samms). This song takes a more in the club sound which leads back to his days in US5. The song will definitely get the party started or would be a great song to listen to whilst getting ready for a fun night out.
With a hugh fanbase in Europe, you should be seeing a lot more of this american boy!
2. Parade: The 5 piece girlband has already experienced chart success with their debut single 'Louder' storming the UK chart at number 10 and their second single 'Perfume' at number 38. Although the girls have supported The Wanted, Shakira, Alexandra Burke and Shayne Ward on tour, their debut album 'Parade' (featuring songs 'Ticking On It, 'Just A Girl and 'Yes You Are') only entered the chart at number 171.
Fans started to become worried as less and less information was given about the band's future until they released a free download of their song 'Light Me Up'. The song has a more upbeat tempo compared to their first two singles and it shows that Parade are still around to entertain.
It has now been confirmed that Parade will be releasing their second album in 2013 and they have been working with new songwriters/producers such as Tim Powell (Girls Aloud, Sugababes, Dappy) and ED Drewett (The Wanted).
There are exciting times ahead for the band and all we can say is: TURN IT UP LOUDER!
3. District3: District 3 is a boyband best know for there appearance on The X Factor UK Series 9. Dan, Micky and Greg met each other at school and decided they wanted to form a band and they started filming Youtube videos under the name GMD3 (This was changed to District3 whilst they were on The X Factor). Videos such as their cover of Carly Rae Jepsen's hit 'Call Me Maybe' and Maroon 5's 'Payphone' became hugh with thousands of Youtube views. With a growing fanbase and vocals of angels, 2013 should be a great year for the lads.
Although always being compared to Union J, District3 never let it get to them and they worked hard to show there is a place in the market for both groups.
Now the question is, when can we buy a song from the lads to put on our ipods?
4. Eric Saade: Ask anyone in Sweden if they know Eric Saade and they will think you are crazy. One of the biggest Swedish male singers of all time but where do we know that name from?
Eric represented Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2011 with his catchy pop song 'Popular'. Popular gained Eric a number 76 on the UK chart and since then, the music channels 'The Chart Show' and 'Scandipop' always show his music videos.
Eric's last song to be heard in the UK was 'Hotter Than Fire (LMX Remix)' which was featured on the 'Clubland 21' compilation album.
His latest songs in Sweden 'Marching (In The Name of Love)' and 'Miss Unknown' have been released as promotional songs ready for Eric's new album.
5. The Risk: The Risk were first seen on The X Factor UK Series 8 and were mentored by Tulisa. The 4 piece group made it through to the 5th week. After The X Factor it went quiet and rumours soon spread that the band had split up until the group finally announced that their debut single 'Missiles' was going to be released in January 2013. The Risk released the single themselves (with no help from a record label) and achieved a respectable number 60 on the UK chart.
This is just the beginning for the group and with a fanbase that just keeps growing, big things should be coming their way!
The other day it was confirmed that Kylie Minogue has signed a management deal with Jay-Z's record label Rock Nation but what will this mean for Kylie's music? Is she going to rap on her next album and will any of the Rock Nation artists feature on the next album? (would love to hear a Kylie feat. Rita Ora track).
The other question is will she stay true to her more uptempo pop/dance tracks which we love so much or will the genre of music lead us in a new direction?
We will have to wait and see but all I can say is: 'I'm EXCITED!!!
If I was to ask you, 'can you name any german singers/bands who have been successful in the UK?' how many would you be able to name? Will there ever be another successful german singer/band in the UK?
The first singer I thought of when you think of german stars has to be NENA. Im sure everyone has danced at least once and shouted the lyrics to '99 Red Balloons' which went straight to number 1 in the UK in 1984. There is also the song Nena performed with Kim Wilde 'Anyplace, Anywhere, Anytime' which although didn't enter the UK chart, it is a song that is still played at many weddings and celebrations.
The next singer I thought of was Sarah Connor (Judge on The X Factor Germany) who entered the UK chart at number 16 in 2001 with her song 'Let's Get Back To Bed-Boy! ft. TQ. Sarah made another appearance in the UK chart at number 14 in 2003 with her song 'Bounce'
Rock fans might have thought of the band Rammstein. The industrial metal band from Berlin, who only release songs in German, has had 4 top 30 albums and 9 top 200 singles in the UK. Rammstein's music video are played on a regular basis on such music channels as Kerrang, NME and other heavy metal channels.
Other german artists such as Tokio Hotel and Lena Meyer-Landrut have also entered the UK chart. Tokio Hotel entered the chart at number 77 with 'Ready, Set, Go and Lena has entered the chart twice at number 30 with 'Satellite' (Eurovision winning song in 2010) and at number 117 with her song 'Taken By a Stranger' (Eurovision entry 2011).
So what is next for german singers and bands? will there ever be another one to enter the UK charts?
Here's who I think will have a good chance.
Roman Lob: Roman Lob represented Germany in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 with his song 'Standing Still' which entered the UK chart at number 132. He has since released a second single ('Call Out The Sun') and an album in Germany. Fingers crossed we see him in the UK charts again soon.
Melouria: Melouria is the Popstars Germany winning band for 2012. There first single 'How Do You Do' (a cover of the Roxette classic) gave them there first top 40 single in Germany and top 20 in Austria. They have recently released their second single 'Miracle' in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. 'Miracle' has already been featured on many UK music blogs and has entered the Dozoo Music Video Charts at number 7. All we need now is a release date for the UK!
The great thing about Melouria is the fact that 3 of the members play musical instruments and they all have input in the songwriting process. With a 3 boy and 1 girl formation (such formation has been successful for The Black Eyed Peas, Aqua and Cover Drive) Melouria could be the next mixed group to gain worldwide success. Alessio, Alex, Cem and Steffi are names to remember!
Mandy Capristo: Mandy Capristo is 1/3 of Monrose (one of the most successful german girlbands). After the band decided to call it a day Mandy wanted more. She signed a contract with EMI, Starwatch and started working on her first solo debut album. Her first single 'The Way I Like It' went straight into the german charts at number 11. Shortly after she released her debut album 'Grace' which gave her her first top 10 solo album entering at number 8 in Germany.
With a mix of uptempo tracks and emotional ballads, Mandy is one to watch.
The girls from Booty Luv have done it again. They are back with a banging new beat that just wants to make you shake your booty and party all night. Their fantastic new single Black Widow was released on the 3rd February and this is a song you won't want to miss out on. Cherise and Nadia are telling all the men out there that they will be the last love of their lives and with lyrics such as I chew you up spit you out cause that’s what i’m all about, I leave you soft in the middle, I break your heart just a little,I got that black black widow widow, Black black widow widow I'm sure we can guess why that is.
The girls have been promoting in Australia in 2012 but now they are back and ready to go!
I can't wait to see what is next for Booty Luv.
Over the past 2 years British artists and bands have been taking over the US charts. One Direction, Olly Murs, Cher Lloyd are just to name a few. With performances on The X Factor US and tours under their belts, the americans have now decided its all about the Brits.
2013 brings something very special. The network E! has already signed The Saturdays for their own tv show 'Chasing The Saturdays' which has been a success and has helped the girlgroup grow their fanbase over the pond. After releasing their single 'What About US' and their EP 'Chasing the Saturdays', this is just the beginning for world domination for the girls.
But wait one moment, isn't there another british boyband who I have forgotten to mention? What about The Wanted?
Well after being introduced to America and having their first performance on The Ellen Show, the lads have already made a name for themselves. The lads have just released their fantastic new single 'I Found You' and with their 3rd album due in November there are some exciting times ahead. What more could the band want? Let me tell you! how does their very own show sound? Yes thats right The Wanted have signed a deal with the E! network to also have their own show and join the E! family which includes The Kardashians and The Saturdays.
2013 is going to be a big year from British artists in the USA!
You either love it or hate it but you will never be able to get rid of it. What am I talking about?
The X Factor!
The X Factor is the best know reality singing competition known worldwide but is the success of the show losing it's shine?
Many people say it is the judges that make the shows a success and others say it is the contestants but what is it that really makes these shows a success? Could it be the press writing about all the controversy that takes place in the shows?
Lets compare the two formats of the shows in the UK and Australia.
First up, The X Factor UK:
The 9th season finished in December 2012 and crowned James Arthur as the winner. Many people complained about the contestants of this series (especially Christopher Maloney and Rylan Clark) and said the producers of the show should just give up. Although this was the case, people still vote for who they want to win each week and James Arthur's winning song (Impossible) not only went to number 1 but also sold over 1 million copies. Does this show that people want the show to stay or do people just like the artist?
What does confuse me is how the importance of the show has change from the contestants to the judges. After Kelly Rowland was sacked after the 2011 show a replacement was needed and journalists had a great time speculating who was going to be her replacement. Before a final replacement was found, guest judges were brought in (Anastasia, Geri Halliwell, Melanie Brown, Rita Ora and Leona Lewis). Nicole Scherzinger was a guest judge too but she was chosen to be a permanent judge (after she came 2nd in The X Factor US) and joined the judges Louis Walsh (Mr X Factor himself), Gary Barlow and Tulisa.
The show has provided the music industry with some talented contestants such as James Arthur, Jahmene Douglas, District 3, Union J and Times Red. Many of these contestants have been signed to record labels and will be releasing music very soon.
The final question is, Has The X Factor lost its shine or will the success continue in series 10?
The X Factor Australia Season 4:
When thinking about The X Factor Australia, I would say it is the biggest rival to the UK show. The contestants seem to have a lot more talent and there is not much contraversy (the show just seems to run a lot smoother).
The thing I like about the judges is the fact that they seem to work together and they are more honest with the contestants (if the contestants do a good job, they get praise and if they don't, they are told what was wrong with the performance). The judges also have strong opinions and like to get their points across (especially Melanie Brown). The judges are Melanie Brown, Ronan Keating, Guy Sebastian (australian singer/songwriter/producer) and Natalie Bassingthwaighte (australian singer). But enough about the judges, its the contestants that really make this show. The winner of the 4th season was Samantha Jade and she had already been signed to an American label in the past when she was 15 but the label decided never to release one of her songs. The X Factor was her last chance to show what she had to offer and boy did she do that. Covering songs such as Scream (Usher), Wide Awake ( Katy Perry) and Breakeven (The Script) she showed Australia she had the right to be the winner (even though she found herself in the bottom 2 three times!). The good thing about The X Factor Australia is the fact that the winning single is an original song. Samantha Jade's winning song 'What You've Done To Me' went straight to number 1 in Australia and she has also had a number 3 with an album of cover songs which she performed on the show.
Other contestants to watch out for from the show are The Collection, Jason Owen, Angel Tupai and Bella Ferraro.
I would be very interested to find out what you think about The X Factor and who your favourite contestants are!
