Big in 2020 (Female Solo Artists)

It's time to check out all the female solo artists we think will be big in 2020.

1. Nadine Coyle

What an end of 2019 and start of 2020 it has been for Nadine Coyle. She came 5th in I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here.

Nadine also released her song 'Fool For Love in 2019.

On the 31st January 2020 Nadine released her single 'All That I Know'.

A day later she performed at G-A-Y Heaven in London (one of her first performances from her UK Tour dates).

The rest of this year will see Nadine performing, appearing on TV giving interviews and she has recently done a documentary (for The One Show on BBC One) about how easy it is for young people to access plastic surgery from unprofessional practitioners.

2. Ally Brooke

When Fifth Harmony called it a day and the ladies went solo, everyone asked who will be successful and we predicted Ally Brooke the whole time.

Ever since going solo, Ally has released quite a few singles. Recent releases include her single 'No Good' which featured a music video with a lot of choreography which coincided very nicely with her announcement of taking part in Dancing With The Stars.

Ally finished in 3rd place on Dancing With The Stars with her professional partner Sascha Farber.

Ally is also know to collaborate with other artists and this time it was Afrojack who chose her to sing on his song 'All Night'.

Ally's latest single 'Fabulous' has been a big hit on the social media plattform TicTok where people have used the song to make videos.

As well as preparing for her first full solo tour (which was sadly cut short because of the spread of the Coronavirus), Ally has also worked with Nickelodeon to lend her voice for the character Alisa in the cartoon series The Casagrandes.

We look forward to seeing what else Ally has in store for us in 2020 and we are waiting for her book which should be released sometime this year.

3. Nicola Roberts

Nicola Roberts is best known as 1/5 of UK girl band Girls Aloud. For a few years she has focused on projects in the fashion industry but in January 2020 she Performed as the Queen Bee on The Masked Singer UK.

Since her performance on the show, she had positive feedback every week and went on to win the show.

The best thing about Nicola performing on the show was the fact she could really show her vocal ability which was not shown to its full in the Girls Aloud music.

For anyone who hasn't heard Nicola's solo material, we strongly recommend checking out her 2011 released solo album 'Cinderella's Eyes' which includes the released singles 'Beat of my Drum', 'Lucky Day' and 'Yo-Yo'.

Nicola Roberts is also a fantastic songwriter and has written tracks for her fellow Girls Aloud bandmate Cheryl as well as for Little Mix.

Nicola was preparing to start performing in the stage production of City of Angels - A Hollywood Musical at the theatre but due to the Coronavirus, that has been postponed.

Lets hope Nicola Roberts uses the time to now record some amazing songs that fans can enjoy!

4. Brooke Hogan

Brooke hogan is the daughter of WWE wrestler Hulk Hogan and isn't a stranger to TV as she has featured in her father's TV show 'Hogan Knows Best', her TV show 'Brooke Knows Best' and on the WWE.

She has released 2 albums and 2 EPs and 2019 was the year where her music career restarted.

She released her song 'Taste Like Summer' which has a kind of Pop/Hip-Hop vibe. The track is perfect to listen to whilst relaxing in the sun with a drink.

On the 1st November 2019, Brooke released her next single 'Touch My Body' which has a summer Pop vibe to it.
A week later she released a music video for the song feat. The INstitute of Dancers. The video was filmed in one day and features Brooke Hogan showing off her fantastic dance moves.

We just hope Brooke Hogan continues to record great music and hopefully release another full album of tracks that we can listen to this summer.

1. Danny Dearden
What a year 2019 was for British singer/songwriter Danny Dearden. His vocals featured on 8 different songs and fans were also able to experience his vocals live with the great performances he gave.

Here are just some of the stand-out tracks released this year:

German Duo Aexcit chose Danny to record his vocals for their song 'Good To Go'.

French DJ Michael Calfan has worked with Danny Dearden on the song 'It's Wrong' in 2018 and he wanted to work with Danny Dearden again in 2019. The song they released is called 'Could Be You'.

In 2020 Danny will be releasing more great songs and and performing and we think he will be even more successful!

2. Victor Crone
Victor Crone is a Swedish singer and in 2019 he gained the attention of the world thanks to representing Estonia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019. He song 'Storm' is a catchy track with that Eurovision Dance/pop style that we love.

Crone continued to release tracks in 2019 which were just as catchy:

Syn Cole collaborated with Victor on their track 'Discovery'.

The next track to feature Victor's vocals was the Tungelvaag Raaban track 'Take Me Away'

The final track Victor released in 2019 was 'This Can't Be Love'. The song is a beautiful pop ballad that showcases his stunning vocal range.

Victor Crone is currently competing to have the right to represent his native Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest 2020.

3. Alex Row
Alex Row is a singer from Spain and in 2019 he entertained social media by uploading some amazing cover versions.

When Alex released his cover of 'Dance Money' from Tones and I, we were just so excited that Alex is still showcasing his stunning vocals and this cover was amazing,

Another cover he uploaded is 'Tusa' from Karol G feat. Nicki Minaj.

His song 'Do What You Want' and his Adele 'Hello' cover which he released in 2016 are getting more streams on Spotify too.

We really hope that more people get to experience Alex Row's talent and he gets the opportunities to showcase his talent.
As a singer and a dancer, 2020 could be Alex's year!

4. Mario Jefferson
Mario Jefferson is a Spanish singer who has experienced success signed to a label as well as releasing music independently.

Here are some highlights of Mario's career so far:
His latest sing is a Spanish song called 'El Que No Llora No Mama'.

In 2016 Mario released an English song called 'Cadillac'

One of Mario's top memories of his career so far was when he got to release a song with American singer JoJo. The song 'Disaster' was recorded again to be a Spanglish (Spanish and English).

Mario still likes to perform live as well as upload cover videos and 2020 could just be the year where the world gets to hear more of his amazing songs.

5. Jack Vidgen
The Australian singer Jack Vidgen won Australia's Got Talent as a 15 year old. After the pressures of being in the limelight and trolling on social media, he took some years away until he decided to audition for The Voice Australia.

As soon as he performed the the song 'Hello' from Adele, the world knew that Jack was back and ready!

Jack is currently in the line-up to win the chance to represent Australia in the Eurovision 2020 with his new song 'I Am King, I Am Queen'.

Anything could happen in 2020 for Jack Vidgen but with his stunning vocals, we know he is going to smash it!

6. Dalton Harris
Dalton Harris is the winner of The X Factor 2018 and it is no surprise he won with his angelic vocals.

After winning The X Factor, Dalton released a cover of 'The Power of Love' featuring James Arthur.

Dalton performed his new single 'Cry' on The X Factor: The Band.

We hope Syco Music get it right with Dalton Harris and give him the promotion he deserves but with his amazing vocals, Dalton Harris will be a name on people's lips all around the world.

7. MKY
MKY started his music journey audition to be part of the group known now as In Real Life. During his time on Boyband, he showcased fantastic vocals and was a fan favourite.
After the show he joined some of the other contestants from the show to form the group 4th Ave.
MKY then decided to leave the group to focus on his solo career.

MKY released his first solo single called 'On My Chest.

MKY already has live shows lined up and we are hoping to hear more songs from this talented guy in 2020.
